Mountains, Cows, Just another weekend in Swiss Paradise.

This past weekend we celebrated Swiss National Day (yeah for Monday off) by taking to the mountains. We stayed Saturday night in Lauterbrunnen Valley, at the same hotel we stayed at 2 years ago with Mary & Ron, then stayed Sunday night by the Oeschinensee, which is above Kandersteg, where we stayed this past March with Mags. So, we were hitting up some highlights (before we give up our Swiss train pass and become pay as you go people for the first time since living here). We got really lucky with the weather considering it's been a pretty lame July here. Although, as you can see, we are still in jackets, long pants, etc. We did a lot of hiking. We ate a lot of, surprising for Switzerland, delicious food. We saw someone we recognized in Interlaken, then figured out how we knew the guy (he taught a few classes that we used to attend at our old gym location) --- man, is Switzerland a small place, or what?! We took a nap. We rented a row boat and we enjoyed some sunshine. All in all, a fantastic, relaxed weekend.
