Hikes, Darts, Babies in Bars....Just Your Typical Swiss Weekend

The past week has been full of days like these pictured, lots of sunshine, clear skies and warmer temps. We've been taking full advantage and getting out for lots of hikes/walks in the hills and along the lake. It's never ceases to amaze me the way people come out in droves here when it's a nice (even sometimes just okay) day. The lake front, the walking paths, all full of people strolling, running, chatting, drinking coffee, just enjoying a beautiful day. This is one of those small, charming things about Zurich that makes me feel so darn fond of the place. I think people just seem content to be sitting lakeside, or strolling arm in arm with a partner or friend. It's a feeling I've never had in other places, it's the face to the sun, eyes closed, 'I love this moment' aura that people give off. They don't give it off often, nor will that direct that contentment outside of themselves, but, just seeing people enjoying simple joys is so refreshing.
Another simple pleasure involved beers & burgers in a dingy American pub, complete with bar games, just the right level of competitiveness and babies sleeping in their pram.
