Beggars & Crazies
We had quite a nice little Saturday, hike in the morning, brought some boxes by the new apartment & hung out with the Baganz's for a while, then headed out for dinner Saturday night. Pretty normal until you mix in the shoeless lady who was dancing ON the train tracks waving her shirt about and giggling in a 'I am beyond messed up, mentally ill & perhaps the dumbest person on the planet all rolled into one.' No matter my dislike for idiotic people, I really didn't have the stomach to see this lady be crushed to death. In typical Swiss fashion (&for once, thank you Swiss people for being incapable of minding your own business) --- a woman walked up to her & basically chewed her a new one, while pointing her finger in the crazy shoeless ladies face (pointing at people in the face drives me crazy, but if ever there was a time for some sever finger wagging, this was it.) The lady finally got out of the tracks about the time we were arriving to the end of the platform, but it sure flustered us ---
And, on a happier note...on our way out for dinner that evening, we happened upon these guys (above) jamming lakeside. I thought it was a legitimate concert. They were good enough for it to be. People were hanging out on all the benches, drinking beer & enjoying the late afternoon sunshine until at the very end Joe asked me for my change to drop in the empty guitar case in front of them (which this little shrimp couldn't see). What can I say, begging's sophisticated here.
